The above Latin quote by Juvenal sums up the general feeling of the
Alt.Fiction.Original newsgroup. It's where we gather to share, critique, commiserate
and most of all, support.
The alt.fiction.original story archive is your one-stop location to
find all the short stories posted to alt.fiction.original.
Stories are arranged chronologically and indexed by the author's last name. All stories
are in posted in HTML and text format. A story flagged with an asterisk carries a
cautionary warning.

If you are a visitor to this archive and feel that you
would like to comment on a story you have
read here, then subscribe to the alt.fiction.original newsgroup and post it there. You
will be made welcome, and your comments appreciated. Some people have had
difficulty in subscribing as their ISP doesn't support newsgroups, so I would suggest a
visit to http://groups.google.com/ or http://www.newsranger.com/ , as both of those sites
cater to such situations. |
Alt.fiction.original is a newsgroup for the posting of
stories or fragments so that other writers can review and criticize the work. The aim is
to help each other to better our writing. Stories can be posted to the group in text
format, according to the accepted rules of Usenet, but we discourage the posting of URLs'
of sites where authors have their own work displayed. The full FAQ for the group can be
found here. The group is friendly towards new writers and our major
critics are in the main kind to all writers.
