In 1957, I was born in a lake dotted, undiscovered paradise called
Orlando, Florida. Live Oaks graced the landscape with huge limbs draped
with Spanish Moss. By the time I entered high school, my hometown had
been invaded by tourist attractions. I moved away in the seventies to
attend college, where I kept changing majors. Finally, I graduated and
became a graphic artist.
I love typography and designing logos, but it hasn't stopped my
obsessive interest in other activities. I've always been fond of
wildlife, so in the eighties, I volunteered at a wildlife center. Soon,
I was attending conferences and had my state and federal permits to
rehabilitate injured and orphaned animals. I worked with wildlife for
ten years. Rabbits and bats were my favorites -- still are.
My current obsession is writing. In December 2001, I decided I wanted to
learn to write. Although, I did well in my required english courses,
whenever I had a choice, I always signed up for an art, math, or science
class. My search for ways to improve my writing led me to AFO in June
2002. Now, they can't get rid of me.
I'm married with three sons and an assortment of pets.
