I hit the big 30 this year (2000), live in Derbyshire, UK, and have been writing for almost exactly one year. Should anyone be looking for someone on which to pin the blame for the unleashing of my dubious literary abilities on an undeserving world, that would have to be laid firmly at the feet of one Sue Simpson, a long-time member of this group. She it was who showed me how I could progress from simply wanting to write to actually writing. So blame Sue! However, in the interests of fairness, I must point out that Sue cannot be blamed for the quality of the stream of words that comes out of my PC, merely its existence!!

As to that writing, well, so far I am unpublished, save for a couple of short stories in the local evening newspaper. I am currently assaulting literary agents with my first novel, whilst working on my second, with which to launch a fresh attack when the first one gets blunt.

I am, at present, valiantly attempting to fend off terminal boredom as a System Administrator, but my ambition is to become a full-time writer. If by any chance I succeed in this aim, it will be thanks in no small part to Sue, and all the other denizens of this wonderful group.
