Patrick Null

I have a lot of hobbies. Unfortunately, they take me away from what I really love doing: writing.

I love movies-horror ones best of all, even though I dig a good drama or action flick. My favorite movie of all time is The Matrix, even though the second one sucked. I also liked Spiderman, Frequency, Gladiator, Lord of the Rings(both movies), the X-Men(both parts), the Count of Monte Cristo, Ghost Ship, the Ring, and too many others to name here. I also dig the Breakfast Club and I don’t know why. Maybe because it was a simple concept and it takes place all in one day, and there’s enough conflict to keep even Joe Konrath happy. The characters are cliched, but I think that’s the reason I relate so well. It would never have gotten past the AFO screening process, though. J

More than movies, I like TV shows-mostly reality TV. I watch them all; American Idol is the best. I also like Boston Public, 24, the OC, John Doe when it was on. I’m eagerly awaiting Joan of Arcadia and true Calling. I like watching sitcoms, too-that 70’s show, Drew Carey, Will and Grace, Dharma and Greg, Home Improvement.

My current obsession is DVD season packs. They have one for every show, except American Idol. We’ll have to fix that. A person can get broke buying all the seasons of Star Trek and X-files. I’ll never learn.

I like playing video games, reading(Stephen King is my favorite), magic tricks, and bowling.

But the greatest love of my life is sex...er...writing.

Well, sex, too.

Ok. Moving on. To make a long story short, I was born in Toledo, Ohio, moved to Zanesville, moved back again, and now I live in Cleveland, Ohio with my lovely wife, my wonderful son, a cat who hates being chased by the dog and a dog who loves doing the chasing. We’re expecting the arrival of Alexis Marie in a couple of months.

I’ve been writing my entire life, though there were stretches where I didn’t write at all. Now, since I’ve found AFO, I’ve become more serious. Thanks, guys, for such a friendly atmosphere.

I’ve held a variety of jobs, including an Army recruit. Boy, am I glad that didn’t work out.

I’ve been married seven years.
