Joe Konrath

Joe Konrath garnered over 400 rejections and wrote nine novels before finally landing a three book, six figure deal with Hyperion Press. His first novel, WHISKEY SOUR, will be released in hardcover Spring 2004.

Joe was born in 1970. Only twenty-two short years later, he graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with a Bachelor’s Degree in something. He enjoys fishing, all grain brewing, sex with his wife Maria, watching bad movies, and preaching to other writers about the importance of conflict within a narrative.

Joe has three kids (that he knows of), a dog, and a house in the suburbs. He currently teaches creative writing at the College of Dupage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. He is also hard at work on the next book in the Lt. Jacqueline Daniels series, to be released in 2005.

Also, several times a year, Joe puts on leotards and a cape and fights crime.
