Huw Lyan Thomas

Born on January 7th, 1962 in Cardiff, Wales. The hospital has since been demolished, so I understand how John Cusack felt in Grosse Point Blank.

I'm half-Welsh and half-Chinese. Moved to a farm at an early age, and returned to urban (student) life at the first opportunity. Since then, I've lived in Manchester, Apeldoorn (Holland), and Grenoble (France). Now I'm based in London with my wife (Holly) and three cats, but we're working on getting back to a rural backwater - preferably somewhere well beyond commuting distance to any office that would want to employ me.

If you google for "little grey guys" (as of March 03), the first entry you'll see is one of the first stories I ever wrote... but I put this down to the ranking earned by Holly's website, more than the popularity of my fiction :-)

Favourite authors include Louis de Bernieres, Guy Gavriel Kay, Neal Stephenson, Vernor Vinge. I started writing fiction in 2001.
