Allen Rolf was born in 1934 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He attended Subiaco Academy, Subiaco, Ar, and graduated from Arkansas State Univeristy with a BA in English.

Mr. Rolf has been writing since 1948 and is nationally published both as a writer and photographer. He has freelanced for numerous general circulation magazines and newspapers, but his primary writing field has been in the technical field of machine/process control and industrial electronic applications.

Allen, in addition to being a freelance writer, has worked as field editor for several magazines, editor, and publisher of his own newspaper. He has taught writing and photography at several Arkansas universities. He has written one book on photography, is founder of The Arkansas Association of Writers & Photographers, and WRITERLIST .
