My name is Heather Shephard and I hail from Bristol Texas. Growing up in a small Vermont ski town, I didn’t believe that I would ever get out of the country. I only read about life in a big city and knew that someday, I would be there. At twenty-three, I am finally there. I live fifteen miles from downtown Dallas, and although I am still in the country, I can see the downtown skyline from my backyard.

I am an avid reader of true crime novels, mystery novels and drama novels. I am not a big fan of fantasy or sci-fi. In fact, I hated the Matrix. Both of them. I am a cat lover and even had one permanently placed on my ankle so that I would always have one with me. I live with my boyfriend of over two years, who for some reason has not asked me to marry him yet, and our two children, Sebastien, who is four, and Jade who is sixteen months. Between them, my job as an office manager for a construction company, and my love of books, I don’t know how I found the time to begin writing. But I did, and I am glad. This group is the best and you all made me feel welcome. (Well, except for those couple who threw me into the dirty pond)
